We are all getting closely judged and criticized all the time.
Thanks to dear Mr Internet!
Let it be a one star review or a bad
comment or sometime no ‘comments or likes’, it simply blows it off.
We feel annoyed or ignored!
I simply hate it & I know you
too!
Today let’s deal with that
criticism.
The criticism is not always directly linked with your work.
Sometimes it is about how you
look or what you eat, what you wear, how you talk & what you listen to.
Sometimes online, sometimes
offline!
But the very first reaction is we feel offended, insulted & hurt.
We really take it all close to
our heart!
Want to know the truth? Here you go!
We too criticize ourselves constantly.
How many times you stand in front
of the mirror and say,” I am perfect but that belly fat…”
Or you listen to that video
recording and feel you could have done it better.
This is normal and it is part of
being human.
So the important point here is let it be personal or business, ‘criticism’
is part of life.
Always remember the bigger game you play, the more criticism you will
get.
That’s just how it goes.
Take SRK, he is an amazing
example.
Sure there are some people who don't
like him. They mimic & criticize him all the time.
But there are a million others
who like him crazily.
You say you don't like SRK, you say
he is horrible, doesn't stop him from creating his awesome work.
Does it? So criticism is just another form of people's opinion.
Stop taking it personally!
You will never receive criticism from anyone that you admire or follow.
True?
Most successful people are too busy living their lives and don’t have
time to harshly criticize and judge you. Majority of the times, the people who
are the harshest critics are cowards.
Realize, it's easy for lazy
people to point out what you're doing wrong,
But it will only impact you if
you decide to listen to them!
Are you really going to let them impact your life?
Heck… No!
Most criticism is irrelevant !
It is not constructive; it's just
someone's opinion.
Here are my top four tips to handle criticism.
Tip No #1
Realize creativity always comes with criticism!
Here is what Aristotle said, “If
you want to avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing, and be nothing.”
Now the decision is yours!
Face it or quit it!
Tip No #2
Not all criticism is bad.
Constructive criticism can really help you grow. So don’t dismiss it all.
The people that know you and love
you and support you, they will offer constructive criticism most often in
private. That’s what my friends do for me and I try and do the same for them.
Tip No #3
Do not tolerate people being mean
or cruel to you, your friends, your family, and your team, anybody in your
world. So what to do? You delete people, you disengage, you block them,
unsubscribe them.
Just get them out of your life!
Tip No #4
You are born on the earth to do
some creative work.
You are special. And I
believe you know that already.
People can say whatever they want, but you do not have to take it in and
you don't have to let it ruin your life. And it’s really, really important!
I hope that helped!
Now I would
love to hear from you.
What are
your methods to deal with criticism? Tell me how you face it?

Thanks Sheetal! But I feel if people want to improve you they should criticize you in your personal window. And if they want to praise you in the open forum. Is that too much to expect from learned people?
ReplyDeleteCool Girl, you just can’t control anybody’s behaviour! So stop expecting from them, at least if they are not family, friends or well-wisher! Let their behaviour not stop you from creating awesome work!
