‘THAT’ day I Entered Gym Again!

It was month of June.

All shops already announced monsoon sales & discount offers.
And here it came.
A new gym opened near my place.
For almost a week I was planning to go in & check with them.
But it was not happening.
But that day I saw that 40% discount board & I went in.
And I ended up opting for one year membership, after all that plan had maximum discount.

The first day the instructor gave me workout, low intensity.
I was wondering if that was Low intensity, god bless me.
I was exhausted, drained & was dragging my legs.
Next day was no different.
Few exercises changed here & there. But it was same, super exhausting.
Then on Sunday I took an off.
It continued for a few more days.

But on one Monday, I told myself it’s not a good idea to go out since it was raining so much.
Next day, I observed my daughter is sneezing a lot,
Next day my maid took off…
& next day….

It continued. I stopped going to the gym.
Every time I had a new excuse.

But this day was different.



I got up in the morning.
Then dressed my daughter ready for school.
I dropped my daughter to school.

And finally I entered the gym, after almost 3 months break.
Came out energetic & refreshed.
So what was so special on that day?
Today I am going to share that secret!


This will be useful if you are struggling,
To start your exercise,
To start your new 'start up',
To start marketing campaign which you know is important but just not happening,
To get your new website done or
To start your blog or
You wanted to start your diet…
Anything which you are procrastinating for a long.

This strategy is known as TIO (Touch it Once).
Here is what I told myself that morning,
“I am just going to walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes” nothing less & nothing more.
And I come out with 40 minutes of a good workout.

How did that happen?
It’s not the exercise that’s hard. What’s hard is getting into the gym.
What keeps us away from starting something new is ‘Resistance’!
And TIO is the best way to overcome it.

So next time when you are stuck with any of the above situations or similar ones,
Tell yourself,” I am going to do that just for 10 minutes & start”
And you will finish that task just like magic.

Today I draw Full Moon Night illustration using Procreate. No tutorial followed,No reference image. It's completely designed and drawn by me. Wow ! That feeling is awesome. First time I am feeling confident and artist like , if you are too a beginner like me you may get what i am talking about. During these times (2020 Pandemics - We are locked down for more that 40 days ) this was most needed. Hope you will like it. Here is colour variation of the same drawing.
