One moment today when I felt truly present

Today, I felt truly present in a moment so small I almost missed it. I was sitting by the window, watching the soft rain fall outside. Everything felt hushed — the world, my mind, even my own breath. I wrapped myself in a warm blanket and simply watched the raindrops race down the glass. My body felt cozy and safe, like I had built a little shelter inside the storm. My hands rested quietly in my lap, and my breathing was slow without me even trying. In my heart, a small joy grew — not loud or overwhelming, but soft, like a candle flickering in a quiet room. My mind, often so busy, felt spacious and light. For once, I wasn’t thinking about what needed fixing or finishing. I was simply there, feeling the beauty of being alive in such an ordinary moment.
